STACIA BERRY

Stacia Berry is a fourth generation Wyomingite with deep roots in agriculture. Most recently, Stacia served as the Deputy Director of the Wyoming Department of Agriculture, a state agency that is dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of Wyoming’s agriculture, natural resources and contribution to Wyoming quality of life. In her day-to-day operations, Stacia helped manage more than 80 employees and a biennium budget of more than $34 million. Given this experience, Stacia has a passion for public policy development, the legislative process and government relations.

Prior to her service to the State of Wyoming, Stacia practiced water, natural resources, and private property law. She drafted and defended petitions to the Wyoming State Board of Control, facilitated Irrigation District monthly business and court filings, drafted and executed contracts and agreements, and presented speeches on Water and Natural Resource topics.

Stacia’s family homesteaded north of Cheyenne more than 100 years ago and continues to raise registered horned Hereford cattle to this day. Stacia and her family live on and remain active in her family’s livestock operation assisting with all aspects of the ranch. She is a devoted advocate for agriculture.


Notably, Stacia was an active member of the State and National FFA organizations and served as a National FFA Officer in 2003-2004. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Wyoming in 2008 and was recognized with the Rosemarie Martha Spitaleri Award as the University of Wyoming’s Outstanding Graduating Woman. Stacia obtained a Master of Agricultural Science Degree from Colorado State University in 2009 and graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2012. She is admitted to practice law in Wyoming, Colorado, and Nebraska.


She and her husband Travis Koch live on their family ranch with their three boys.
